I've said it in the past and it still holds true today; Misanthropy And Cupcakes is nothing without cupcakes.

When I restarted this, I figured one of the things I could do at (or near) the end of the month was troll around the internet for some cupcake recipes to share with you guys. After all, you have to put up with my verbal dribblings, so the very least I can do is offer you something sweet in return. Granted, I'm not gonna make them for you, but I'm always happy to share what limited knowledge I possess.

The Essence of My Misanthopy: An Old Topic Revisited

I figured it was time to revisit this one topic. It was one of the first I wrote during the previous incarnation, and I know I can't hope to match its eloquence. Still, it must be tried. After all, I do feel a need to explain myself. After all, I do walk through life calling myself a misanthrope.

And there always seems to be a strangely odd stigma attached to misanthropy. Not the same kind as with misogyny or misandry, but it is there; we simply don't talk about it as much. And why would anyone? If a misogynist, a misandrist, and a misanthropist see each other in a bar, it's more likely that the misogynist and the misandrist will tear into each other while ignoring the misanthropist as they sit silently in the corner.

So, let's start at the basics.

[WRITER'S NOTE - Yes, this is the second Trump-related post in the same month, and I'm not entirely thrilled on it, either. However, in remembering past endeavors, I missed moments to state my opinion while the subject was still topical. While I understand that the Trump presidency will remain topical for a great deal of time to come, I do not intend to turn this 'project' into a permanent beacon against a President I have little faith in. Let the historians and politicians provide deeper analysis of his coming actions. Ahh, it is the return of the R.S.I.L.; that little "filler episode" post I make about things that manage to catch and hold my attention long enough for it to burrow into my brain like a boreworm from Splatterhouse 3.

At any rate, these were bound to pop back up at some point. Much as I'd like to have a great deal to talk about, the words just don't form up the way I'd like to and it takes time to get everything coherent and cohesive. So, I'll just use this time to share with you something I enjoy and hope you get some modicum of enjoyment from it, as well.

Music and animation have always been at the top of my "shareable jollies" list. It's even better when the two manage to come together in a way that creates something better than the two by themselves.

I really don't want to talk about it, but...
